  • We had fish and chips from the freezer (used up two scrappy bags of wedges and chips) with mushy peas and sweetcorn. HM lemon drizzle if anyone’s peckish later.

  • We had a chicken alexander dish from the freezer, with broccoli. Followed by shop bought chocolate trifle!

DH fancied a chip butty but as we only had sweet potato fries in the freezer i made some HM oven chips ( no shortage of spuds as i bought 3 bags when Aldi had them on offer for 16p 2kg before xmas). Don't know why i don't make them more often. Really don't take that long and tasty. Cheap too.
So DH got his chip butty and i had some with 2 fried eggs and some ham.

Three bean chilli, brown rice, corn on the cob and tortilla chips followed by apple and blueberry crumble. Made the crumble and chilli at 4am this morning as baby wouldn't let me sleep.
  • The last portion of cauliflower cheese soup for lunch with cold sausages.

Bubble and squeak with savoury mince for supper and some stewed apple and custard for pudding.
