  • Just taken some mince out to defrost for this evenings dinner. Mince, carrots, onions, gravy with mashed potato. A nice warm, comfort meal especially in the current weather. We have the other half a strudel to use up from the freezer. An option for pudding perhaps.

    Found some chilli pork steaks in the freezer so those for dinner today.

  • Menu plan said HM lasagna from the freezer, but have lots of odds and sods in the fridge so will eat those up instead. DH will have the rest of the sausage casserole, I’m having a jacket with l/o tuna mayo and the kids will have something from the freezer - probably fish fingers.

  • Last night had chicken stuffed with garlic, spinach and cream cheese and wrapped in serrano ham served with roast veggies.
    Tonight had last fo the turkey from the freezer, slice of gammon from Christmas and vegetables to make up a Sunday roast. Had mince pie for pudding too.

    Husband had hm steak pie from freezer.
    Daughter had vegan chicken and mushroom pie.
    I had hm vege toad in the hole. All served with roasted baby potatoes, root mash spring greens, mushy peas and gravy.
    I made a frangipane tart for afters, which turned out really well.

    Yesterday's dinner was the last of the ys chilli pork steaks.

  • Home made cauliflower cheese soup for lunch today.

    Bacon stew with dumplings and baked apples and custard for supper tonight.
