  • Last night we had HM cottage pie from the freezer with veg and gravy. DS1 had pesto pasta as he hates cottage pie (tho he likes mash and mince? Bit like he’ll eat bolognese but not lasagne?!) and took the rest to school for lunch hot in a flask.
Tonight it’s bits and bobs from the fridge, kids will have breaded chicken with either waffles or rice/katsu sauce, DH will have leftover cottage pie and I’ll prob have a jacket potato with tuna.

Tonight I made a vegan shepherds pie with chopped carrot, celery, parsnip, chopped toms, tom puree, red onion, green lentils and soya mince, dried herbs, s+p, topped with mashed potato (added s+p, soya milk and nooch for a 'cheesy' taste), served it with marrowfat peas and brown sauce. Had a HM ginger sultana cake and a coffee afterwards.
  • Spaghetti and meatballs tonight, although as I have some mushrooms and creme fraiche to use up, I may have mushroom sauce on my portion instead.
