Just did a shop today and restocked the freezer, forgetting i was trying to make space for xmas 🤦♀️ did get two of the vegan 'roast' things Aldi are doing this year, smaller than i imagined but was going to serve it alongside a smaller than usual turkey (OH is veggie and DM doesn't eat a lot of meat) for xmas dinner. Was just going to get one to try then figured i may as well buy two so we had the one i wanted for xmas. If the test one is horrible I'll just Freegle the other.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I had a bit of a YS haul in Sainsbury’s on Friday (I had gone to spend my double up vouchers, but that’s another story) and I must have hit the chiller aisle at exactly the right moment - eight 750g packs of 5% fat minced beef reduced to 70p each. And it all looked in perfectly fresh condition. I put them all in the freezer as soon as I got home, but have defrosted one pack to make a couple of cottage pies - so it’s one of those for dinner tonight with steamed cabbage. I hardly ever get reduced bargains, so it has made me very happy 😀5
