We didn't make crumbed chops last night.Neither of us felt too hungry so dinner ended up being a sausage patty each and some chips. Chops were moved to this evening, not crumbed. Had with microwave rice, a fried egg and some avocado.3

yesterday was breaded haddock and some LO cheesy leeks with some peas added.
Tonight has been picky bits, i picked up olives, mushroom pate, french stick, little tapas bits and quiches earlier when shopping so I'm gradually working my way through the stick and pate.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

We also had a variation on tapas, bread, aioli, chicken, Spanish omelette, prawns, meatballs ( in Spanish sauce meant for chicken) padron peppers and tomato salad. It was really nice. It's also a good way of using up bits.3

Ooh, that looks delicious Frith. I love gammon but Mr C J is not keen so I don’t tend to cook it often. Or at all 🤣
We had roast beef with all the trimmings tonight. The joint came from Asda (I am still not venturing out, and having to rely on supermarket deliveries). It was tasty, and it was HUGE! I cut it into three, roasted one third (it fed us both generously tonight, and there are four more portions to come from it); I cubed the next third and that is currently marinating in ginger, chilli and lemongrass to make a beef and coconut rendang (hoping for four portions at least); I minced the final third and have turned it into a massive chilli con carne with plenty of peppers and chillis (from the greenhouse!) and two tins of kidney beans - I reckon there are at least 8 portions, if not more. So whilst initially a bit grumpy that the beef joint was larger than I would have chosen, it’s turned out to be very economical in the end 👍🏻5 -
Frith that does look delicious. OH is veggie so its very rare i do a joint of anything.
Tonight OH had a mix of tapas bits again.
I had the last of the cheesy leeks and peas (I'll call it thrice cooked rather than reheated for a third time), some mushroom quiche, minted greens salad (courtesy of Mr Sains I'm afriad) and sliced, fried new pots.
Been super warm here today, up to about 25 degrees so patio swept and garden furniture cleaned off (I've been careful covering it as the cushions are really thick but got caught out when it started raining one day last week, also the cat had sat on one and it was all furry). Weather looks good all week so hopefully get a few more dinners outside.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
