Today for lunch we'll have the leftover biryiani.
It was divided into very funny portions.. mine is half the size of his. Normally he does not get involved in clearing up the pans after dinner, funny tgat yesterday he did🤣🤣 (btw he does do the dishes, he is not completely doing nothing🤣)
Tonight we will have some pork shoulder steaks, probably marinated in Spanish seasoning with Spanish seasoning roast new potatoes and coleslaw.
I bought this seasoning mix in Gran Canaria on holiday last year at the market as 'local' food and it is awesome. Worried what will I do when I run out.7 -
Going to swap meals around today by having a more filling lunch than normal. Lunch, finish last nights chicken wings, with potato croquettes and onion rings. Then a relatively lighter, healthier dinner, of what I call surprise noodle soup. It obviously has noodles in it, but anything else is different every time I make it in terms of what veg, meat, flavorings I have to hand. Would like some crusty bread to go with it, but will see what's available at the shop, if not it should be filling enough anyway!6

Fish pie for dinner tonight
I always buy fish pie mix from Lidl when its nicely reduced to pennies and shove in the freezer. I have to admit to being lazy and not bothering with the hard boiled eggs but theres plenty of fish in the pie and Im serving with peas and corn. Comfort food at its best7 -

For lunch we’ll be having another of the curried minced pork and vegetable pasties that I made earlier in the week, and for supper I am making lasagne to be served with salad and a garlic bread slice each, the last of a pack in the freezer.6

Reheated Jacket potato for lunch with grated cheese and a great big salad with as many raw things in it as I can find and super tonight will be a sausage and baked bean shepherds pie to use up cooked sausages and mashed potato made yesterday and I'll steam some carrots, broccoli and green beans to go with it. If HWK wants pudding there is prune and cherry compote and Greek yoghurt ready to go in the fridge too.7

Morning all
I made soft bread rolls yesterday, we had one each for brunch as a BLT, will have again today with egg salad. I gave neighbours the remaining 2 rolls
dinner tonight will be a takeaway delivery, Chinese I think, we’re still trying to support our local businesses, and have our fruit and veg delivered, a long standing arrangement, but this week have had bread flour, eggs and yeast delivered by the local bakers, and meat delivered by the local butchers- all I need is the candlestick maker 🤣Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Dinner last night ended up being different than anticipated as it wasn't what I felt like having in the end. Instead, I had cheesy spaghetti with spinach and mushrooms. So today, a fish theme. Tinned mackerel and waffles for lunch. Then tonight fish finger wraps and chips. Am cooking far too much oven food at the minute, but will put some salad bits in the wraps.7

Good afternoon folks,
I braved the supermarket yesterday and stocked up a bit, mainly fresh fruit and veg and finally managed to get some more flour. For lunch today I made some chicken and salad wraps, using up some leftover chicken. I also had some veg from last week which needed using so popped it in the slow cooker with some diced beef to make a stew although I am going to freeze it as it is so warm today we don’t really fancy it. Therefore dinner tonight will Spanish chicken and chorizo with orzo. It has been a bit of a ‘use up’ day today and now I have flour I am going to make some blueberry muffins to use up the blueberries which we had intended to have in porridge, but again didn’t fancy porridge in this weather.Well Behaved women seldom make history
