Last night was roast chicken, with roast spuds and rutabaga, turnip greens and proper gravy, made using chicken stock that had been bubbling away all afternoon.
Tonight is chilli and jacket spuds at the ex-pat NYE party. Some of us had thirty portions of chilli in the freezer after last year's overwatering of the same event...0 -
I've just realised I have nothing planned for dinner tonight:eek:. I have lots of stuff in as we are having family over tomorrow but I don't want to touch that. Think it might just be cheesy beanos or egg and chips tonight. Will see what OH fancies when he gets up - he was night shift last night.0

I always use my cake mixer to make mash. Never have any lumps. Mine is just a hand held one, so it's just a case of washing the mixers rather than a masher.
Tonight its steak and baked potatoes. Prawns for me.0
