We weren’t too hungry here either, I did strip the chickens and froze the meat, the rest went into the stock pot, made 3 Ltrs of stock, froze some, made chicken and sweetcorn soup for us this evening, was very tasty.

Have a work shift tomorrow so will take some soup along to snack on.

Picky bits on Christmas Eve for us, usual traditional Christmas dinner yesterday with a Meatless Farm Co burger for OH as he's veggie.
Sent DM home with some leftovers, not too much veg left but a lot of turkey. I think next year I'll get something smaller so there's still some leftover but not as much (it was the usual rolled crown for 8 this year but as only 2 of us eat it, there's just too much LO).

Today has been some cold bits from the fridge at lunchtime for me, then the remaining picky bits for me and OH for dinner. There's just some chilli prawns left now.

Just realised there is now a whole shelf free in the freezer, very excited at the thought.

I have some chicken carcasses to make into stock too in the freezer, may do that over the strange Xmas to NY limbo period.

  • Out for lunch today and I’m fancying lasagne, so we won’t need much dinner tonight. It will probably be cheeses, ham, salad pickles and other leftover Christmas stuff etc.

  • Had to pick up some more coffee from The Algerian Coffee stores in Old Compton Street but the sluggers were closed.
As I was passing I Camisa & Sons (the decent Italian deli) remembered I had some gorgonzola stuffed gnocchi that needed eating up so will be having that with a little homemade tomato sauce.

Dog finished off the Christmas day beef.

I made some fishcakes from some smoked haddock from the freezer. With mushy peas and parsley sauce.

Popped into Co-op on the way home & found a heap of reduced stuff so I got veggies for making a stir fry for lunches next week, bread rolls & sausages for breakfast tomorrow for the grand sum of 20p each & two lots of mince & packets of chicken breasts for 78p & £1.35 respectively so that’s dinners sorted for next week!

Hm tekiyaki sauce & rice noodles for the stir fry means my lunches for next week have cost about £2

    Some fab bargains there :T

Dinner tonight I’m still dithering, not sure what I fancy. It’s probably going to be either tuna pasta bake, Spag Bol or chilli
