Meat eaters had steak, baked potatoes, mushrooms and Ratatouille.
I had a go at making a souffle omelette for myself which was ok. I had it with Ratatouille and mushroom.
  • I’m absolutely amazed how much stuff I managed to squirrel in the freezer. Still going through the contents although will have to replenish soups/meat before Christmas. Managed to last a month without buying meat bar some mince for lasagne.
Today is mince and tatties with farmshop veg, apple pie for afters ( could see somebody nibbled that already)

Have a warm, delicious Sunday dinner everybody :)

Oh, as for spices, maybe we could swap some tips what is a good combo?
I always use ground coriander on pork chops/loin.

Can anyone help with a brilliant dinner idea which includes using half a rather tired red cabbage?!

Have you used your cabbage yet? If not then I would shred it with veg peeler( much thinner than chopped with knife),bruise it( makes it softer), mixed with chopped apple, onion and pickled cucumber, !!! a dollop of mayo and natural yoghurt(just to hold it together).

  • Thanks Camomile, we have used it but I expect there will be future ones.

Tonight we had roast dinner but I couldn't be bothered to go buy a chicken so we had all the trimmings, including stuffing, but no actual meat. Absolutely stuffed and looks like there will be veg soup for later in the week.
