  • We've theatre tickets this afternoon for a matinee performance of 'Peter Pan goes Wrong' so we'll have a light lunch out somewhere and this evening I've bratwurst to cook to have with some fried onions and German mild mustard and I made enough red cabbage casserole and mashed potato last night to have tonight as well. I shall improvise of dessert if we need it from the store cupboard as I have tinned fruit, sponge finger biscuits and some custard made last night for HWK so an 'almost trifle' might be the way to go.
  • L/o curry and will have on jacket tonight.
  • KERRI thank you so much, I bought Ewan this afternoon and took it to DD1 for baby Frieda and have just had a phone call to say the little one loves him, he was put in the top of the carry cot and she was talking to him and then pulled him close and had both hands on him. DD put him up on babys tummy and she's settled and happy and her eyes are closing as he's on the heartbeat and pre birth noise and she's calm and settled, you are so very clever, bless you xxx.

Hurrah for Ewan MrsLW keeping everything crossed he continues to work his sleep like magic on baby Frieda and everyone can get a teeny bit more rest (poor Frieda is prob as tired as mum and dad being unsettled). Thank you for letting me know xx

Using up the last of the roast chicken to make a chicken curry for dinner tonight. Will serve with rice. If I've got time I'll make some bharjis to go with it.

  • Mum, dad and baby (also Ewan) coming for lunch today so Lancashire hot pot is slow cooking in the oven and I shall make soda bread to go with it and also buttered savoy cabbage. Pudding will be fruit sponge and custard and coffee to follow if wanted.

Worlds my oyster tonight, plus nothing defrosted so it will go either two ways, freezer surprise or takeaway!
