Husband away, so I made a quick mushroom, spinach and blue cheese pasta for me and daughter. Daughter had some chicken in hers.
Then I made some soup with a kohlrabi, various squash and leeks. Turned out nice.

Had a bowl of the veggie chilli I made the other day with some sweetcorn thrown in.

Tomorrow I think will be pasta bake, or fish in parsley sauce but can't decide which

A veggie day for us today: B - overnight oats; lunch jacket potato & beans with a dressed salad; Dinner was a HM veggie biryani.

Still got some veg left but sure it will get used up by the end of the week.

  • We took lunch to DD1 and James as they had an awful night with the baby so we made sandwiches, I cooked chipolatas, we got some bakery cakes, some crisps and a bunch of bananas and we took it over to them and then took baby for a walk for most of the afternoon and she slept for nearly all of it. They had the first break from her since she was born almost 5 weeks ago and actually had a rest together which was lovely.

Dinner this evening is going to be a cheating ready made pasta in tomato sauce because we're tired too!

How lovely. I'm sure they really appreciated your help.

Tonight we had jacket potato, salad, prawns and hard boiled eggs.
  • A bit of a strange day for me, breakfast and dinner will be courtesy of Virgin rail. Lunch will be a meeting buffet, so a bit of a lottery as to what I will actually eat.

I've left the rest of the family something easy so pizzas, wedges and side salad for their dinner.....although I suspect they might just order a sneaky take away.
