Our leftover lamb is being made into a shepherd’s pie for tonight, plus enough left for some lamb biryani for tomorrow too.

Th lamb bones and veg trimmings have simmered down into some lovely stock for a pan of Moroccan spiced cauliflower soup which I’ll have for work lunches this week.

Pudding is a strange but tasty thing - I’ve made a sponge cake and sprinkled it liberally with some blood orange liqueur which has been kicking around since Christmas, then topped this with tinned mandarins and orange jelly. Served with thickly whipped cream, it’s quite yummy.

We had home made Chinese. Egg fried rice, sweet and sour prawns, vegetarian stir fry with cashews. I had also bought a packet of prepared spring greens from m and s for 12p, on Friday. I tossed these in some oil and baked them in the oven. Not like shop bought crispy seaweed but was good.

last night was salad bar from supermarket with mini pork pies, mini cocktail sausages and leftover beef – all picky and lovely and fresh.
Tonight I’m out and back late not sure how this will pan out yet I was meant to make a big oven mac cheese but it was too nice to be faffing with the oven. There are some LO nice cheese lurking and some chorizo / salami selection so might use that up will see. Later in the week there are some pork chops to be used.

We are eating out of the cupboards and freezers. Going to make a lentil and pak choi(!) curry using our home grown pak choi frozen last year.

I made a mixed bean goulash (roughly based on the Jack Monroe recipe but didn't want to used baked beans with the tomato sauce washed off, ugh!). Made some brown rice to go with it and was really nice.
