Trying to empty my freezer and feel the need for what I class as comfort food today so its white fish in parsley sauce, mashed potatoes, carrots and peas for dinner followed by rice pudding and raspberry jam.

Ohhhh, I have a fish in butter sauce in the freezer...I may well have that too....

Milky drinks, custard, rice pud etc?

We’re having good old bangers and mash tonight, it’s chilly and drizzling here, so perfect weather for it - BBQ weather prediction for long weekend though :T

My second option is some sausages I bought YS today

There's quite a lot of milk - more than I could drink today - rice pudding is a good shout - might have to see what I can freeze it in and gradually use up.

Islandmaid does your impossible pie use cream or milk? I must try and find that recipe.

    Is it impossible quiche?

I think it's an Australian recipe.

I'm away with work, takeaway nandos in a hotel room and a trifle from Morrison's for afterwards.

Beef and ale casserole here, in the slow cooker now, with mash and cheesy dumplings.
Spend less now, work less later.

Hi Kerry, JIL’s about right with impossible pie - Sorry, but didn’t see you question till now x

Tonight is basil chicken with spaghetti tonight, will have mine with salad, DS2 is over and it’s one of his favourites.

Been grocery shopping for Easter weekend and the fridge is now groaning with food, we have 8 adults and a baby to cater for - can’t wait :)

Thanks JIL it was a similar recipe, but this one I was looking for (finally found a print out in a book of mine)

IM it was one you posted on you Blog ages ago - of course it's no longer online to reference and this recipe has always been lovely - I haven't made it for ages - must rectify that.

Popcorn shrimp with curried chickpeas and spinach for me tonight. No idea what OH snaffled when he got in, I was still working.

The jarred korma was pretty tasteless but once I added a few bits and pieces and some extra garlic it was actually very nice for a change
