Delia's Chicken Basque - it's one of OH's favourites and as it was a request I couldn't say no! I also spent the afternoon doing various things with cauliflower as OH came back from the shops with a massive one that looks like it came out of a fairy-tale. I was tempted to ask him if he'd bought it with magic beans ... Anyway it's been turned into a number of portions of cauliflower cheese, one of which we'll eat tomorrow and the rest I'll freeze, and four portions of cauliflower soup which will also go in the freezer.

    TMI. ;)
Could it be romanesco? That looks like fairy castles. Is it green instead of white?

Melanzana - sorry to hear about your taste issues.

Lol :) Nope it's just an ordinary one. They've been so piddly recently that I told OH to make sure he picked the biggest and he really did!

Chilli salmon pasta tonight, a pure carb fest and I don't care :)

Melanzana, if it's been going on a good while perhaps another trip to the. Docs?

When I was severely depressed I had no interest in food whatsoever. I'd walk around the shop and walk back out with an empty basket. I lived on bread. Oh I was hungry at times, even cooked food, just couldn't get it in me Even now if I feel the slightest bit off skew, food goes out of the window

My appetite has gone fully now. Nothing appeals anymore. I could be ill couldn't I, but I ain't losing any weight either! Hopefully it is a phase, but it has been lasting a good while now.

Anyway, not to depress you all, I am having a totally carb filled bit of grub. It is the only thing that entices me at the moment so I will grab and go.

Potato gratin with cheese. It smells gorgeous from the oven. But unfortunately when I take it out I feel I cannot eat it. Oh dear.

    Has anyone else had this?

Doctor says it is anxiety related. But she did not give me any other advice! And I will admit that life is a bit meh at the moment. But it's workable. Maybe I am just a wimp.

Sorry if I intruded too much on the foodie element. Best wishes.

I haven't been well for about 3 weeks now, have no appetite and can't taste anything anyway. I haven't lost any weight at all. I blame my age!:o

I made a korma, tonight I used a Schwartz packet mix, from the cupboard, it was ok but not authenticate by any stretch of the imagination. Used a chicken balti from the freezer, nan bread, onion bagees and an uncle Ben's rice, ready in 20 mins.

Revels for after watching the king Arthur film.

Sorry to hear this, I lost my appetite after I was diagnosed with cancer and waiting for the treatment to start, so I think that was anxiety of sorts.

The trouble is if you don't eat properly you just end up making yourself more poorly. Perhaps eat what you fancy but think about some meal replacements to keep your strength up?

Hope you are soon feeling better.
