Treated myself to Scrambled egg, butcher bacon and sausage for breakfast.

I’m off to see my grand baby this afternoon and want to get our ‘domestics’ done beforehand, DH will have the remainder of the sausages with mash tonight, he has a horrible cold, so can’t be Grandpa till that clears up, luckily he caught it from me, so I am over it

    Sorry - rambling now :)
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

  • More of the Spanish chicken style from yesterday, another portion in freezer. Will eat with some broc or asparagus tonight so it is a little different. Must start to eat stuff from freezers rather than putting back as I have made an Iceland delivery order, they have only just started to do that in my town, £35 min and free del so have taken advantage.
  • Congratulation Islandmaid :j

I can't make my mind up between Chilli con Carne or Cottage Pie tonight - either way it will be something with minced beef!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Got some pork in the slow cooker, it was heavy and had to squeeze it in the pot, alright for £3.74! will be served with mash, sweetcorn, peas, lashings of gravy and cheesy leeks, yum yum, there is potential for a rhubarb crumble il see how I get on!

    Congrats Islandmaid.

More soup for lunch and pasta for dinner.
Spend less now, work less later.

Congratulations to Island maid. You kept that quiet.

I haven't cooked much lately, and we have had a few meals out and some takeaways. But it is expensive.
Husband suggesting going out tonight, I admit I was tempted, but after a Chinese last night, a MacDonalds on Wednesday a restaurant Indian on Tuesday a ready meal on Monday a bills on Sunday and takeaway fish and chips Saturday. I thought it best to cook. So we had hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, sausage, bacon and egg.
I am really looking forward to a Sunday roast.

    I cooked again tonight.
We had prawn curry, with mushrooms, peppers, spinach.
    Dahl from freezer
    Onion bagee from freezer
Naan bread andpilau rice from marks and spencer.

Followed by chocolate eclairs that were reduced to 45p, when I went in to get the naan bread and rice.
