Not sure what order things are going in this week but one will involve mince, and the other pork steaks. I used to do a bake with pork and campbells condensed soup which was delicious so might do that this week as there is some lurking in the cupboards to be used. Maybe the mince will be chilli this week. its 20% not the 5%, might sieve it? whats the best way for fat extraction?
if I'm using mince I just tip the pan to one side and pour / spoon off the fat. Or I have been known to cook everything as usual, refrigerate and then spoon off the white hardened fat after that. I often think a turkey baster would be useful to suck it up.
Tonight i 'treated' myself to a Sainsbobs ready meal - Chicken pad thai. It smelled and tasted like feeti shall not be treating myself again to that. Yuk!

Jacket spuds, chicken with bacon wrapped round. Cesar salad, and a Greek salad without feta ( I took the feta from an unopened wrapper and it was covered in thick slime and was verysmelly) best before June as well!!
Pancake day tomorrow, I'm tempted to make savoury pancakes, fold them and coat in breadcrumbs, like the findus ones we used to have many years ago.
There's a few recipes on line about how to do it.0 -

Have you seen Birds Eye have brought back crispy pancakes (I didn't actually know they'd gone away) and they've gone all 'posh' with them (well every single one has mozzarella) I mean - stop trying to pretend you're anything but orange molten retro convenience food :( Crispy pancakes proper were like a hug from your childhood when you just needed something comforting - not posh breaded kiev nonsense.
Anyway, we have meat(less) balls and pasta tonight - totally forgot it was pancake day when I planned that. Perhaps I'll have pancakes for pud, or lunch.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
