Son1 is making a pizza (from scratch). I’ve just cut a few potato wedges to go with it.

Still here - head still rather sore but stopped feeling icky now which is good.

Tonight I had a portion of lamb mince I'd cooked the their weekend, cba to make any potatoes with it so just nuked it, had some mixed veg and the end bit of a crusty loaf to mop up with. Was very nice and just what a chilly day needed. One tub used from the freezer....I feel another batch of 'making' coming up to use up some more freezer stuff soon.

Cooked up a big pot of veggie / soya mince chilli tonight ready for tomorrow, along with the tomatoes, onions and beans there's also some grated carrot and a chopped up pepper that was looking a bit wrinkly in it (and some mushrooms but I'll have to pick those out for OH...I like them..he will tolerate them at a push).

IM I also popped in a couple of squares of dark chock that was open in the fridge as I recalled you mentioned you did this (I think....if i dreamt it I blame the head knock  ) but couldn't remember how much you put in. I also always add a good dollop of marmite to give it the depth I find can lack without the meat.

  • Tonight we had pork chops in bbq sauce done in the SC, with couscous, roasted veg and corn on the cob... followed by a YS salted caramel and chocolate cheesecake.

Tomorrow we'll be having SC sausage casserole with herby baby potatoes and cabbage.
  • Kung Po prawns and Kung Po sprouts, maybe with chips. Tomorrow will be a mozzarella chicken breast rolled in bacon which I made (5 of) last week for visitors and had to freeze most of them.

Wanted a break from the norm this week, tonight is LO mac cheese with garlic bread and chicken steaks. Going forward, HM sausage rolls, sausage and mash/toad in the hole and the rest of the chicken steaks and a Chinese HM night with spring rolls and sesame toast with Chinese style curry

Early start this morning, so tossed a gammon joint in brown sugar and mustard powder and into the slow cooker.

8 hours later, home from work, made some cauliflower cheese to have with it - yummy and loads of leftovers for lunches

Chilli ended up catching the pan bottom when reheated, OH couldn't taste it but I can tell abide burnt stuff (he's charcoal toast whereas I'm more briefly waft bread near the toaster) so I had a small bowl of chilli which I thought was grim :( however OH ate all other three portions and I ended up heating the half pot of green (pea, mint and spinach) soup I'd defrosted last week and not eaten...so if you don't hear from me again ...you know why
