Evening! i'm back! (if anyone missed me) - have been away with work in New England for a few days (not as glamorous as it sounds) but have prob eaten my own body weight in lobster tails and chowder (when in Rome right?). Body clock all over the place so not really hungry tonight - prob some french bread and cheese, need to do a food shop at some stage too.

  • Met up with friends yesterday, and so we ate out. DH paid for our share of the meal, so no HK spends :) Enjoyed a very tasty steak and ale pie with chunky chips and peas, followed by lemon meringue pie served with whipped cream for dessert.

Tonight's gastronomic offering will be smoked bacon, scrambled eggs and fried tomatoes in a wrap, with a side of baked beans. Fresh fruit for dessert.

Yesterdays meal out was lovely, we both had belly of pork in hoi sin on noodles as a starter, he had the biggest bone in slab of gammon you could imagine, I took the steak sandwich, and with a pint and a Coke, total bill £17. Shame the offer ends today :)

Tonight they are getting a roast gammon dinner, I'm just taking HM soup as I'm not hungry and really don't fancy gammon

Lobster tails in New England sounds lovely Kerri! Welcome back :)

I need it to be something quick and easy tonight as it's a busy day, so we'll be having bangers and mash. I even managed to peel the potatoes and get them into a saucepan of water before I left for work this morning.
  • The last of the minestrone soup with the usual accompaniments for lunch today and for supper Piri Piri Salmon with new potatoes, peas, green beans and black olives followed by blueberries and plain skyr (stevia sweetened) and a cup of black coffee.

HM lasagne (from the batch I made the other week) out of the freezer. The pasta cooked perfectly when it hadn't been previously cooked.

Three of us tonight, I had planned to do a Feb menu plan in my break at work but it's been so busy I didn't get chance.
Just planned to do a prawn curry tonight but daughter was in for dinner and had been out for curry last night.
So we had tapas, battered prawns, Spanish omlette, salad, manchego, bread, alioli, paella (half a bag of lidls from freezer) there were also two cooked jacket potatoes in fridge from Tuesday, I made these into wedges. I also used up a portion of meatballs from freezer, there were only four in a Spanish sauce but they have been in freezer for ages.
    Leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
