If you've any haggis left over from Burns Night, try it with fried mushrooms.
    You can thank me later.

We had our Burns night a week early - saw a nice haggis in the shop and OH nabbed it while it was available.  I like it for one night but OH was happy to have it for leftovers too with excess taters and swede.

Tonight was simple rolls baked with prawns.  OH had egg with his and I had avocado.  Strangely when I went to tidy up all the excess avocado had evaporated!!  Suspect the OH had "binned" it one way or another!!!

Made a 3 bean (well, 4 bean in my case) chilli.  Added paprika as tried a new recipe and it was nice.  Served with tortilla chips and sour cream dip.

Last night was beef stew cooked in the slow cooker using some beef shin I had in the freezer.  Was so tender and just what we needed on a stormy night.

Tonight it's mushroom risotto for me and soup for the husband.

@JIL - how do you make the ratatouille?  I always like it but have never made it - I'm sure I'm capable....(ish).  We used to buy tinned stuff from France that was excellent.

But for us tonight.....I was thinking of a roast chicken but then the food bank had a couple of baguettes that no one wanted so I managed to get the priest next door (to the FB, I live next door to JWs) to take one and took another myself.  Picked up some chicken legs (thigh and leg together) and will make some bruschetta with the bread and use up some of the salad in the fridge.  I would like to put the chicken on the bbq (no washing up!!) but I'm sure someone will frown at me (do I care?) and also we may not have enough propane (which I do care about...).
