Using up some lamb mince I found in the freezer, mixed with herbs and squashed into a log shape, wrapped in foil to make a doneresque kebab, finely sliced with the last of the salad in wraps with garlic mayo.

will be ticking boxes after work, then up till late watching results 🫣

I used to do this,  think I found recipe on here about 15 yrs ago,  cooked in SC   I expect could do similar in AF now-a-days.  Was very tasty and could slice and freeze for another time.  Good luck. x

light supper tonight - OH has a picnic pie (like a pork pie but with ham and chicken in it too) and I've got a pasty and we'll have salad as well.  Pasty will hopefully be very nice.  It's an excess from the food bank and it was bin or take away.  They come from a posh bakery and apparently sell for £6 each so I'm hoping it will be very good.  Only concern is whether to heat it or not.

Just had a pitta bread with a scraping of hummus and lots of salad as I'm off to bed early in order to get up early and see the results.

Raining here, but at least the news is bright…..

We’re having Chinese crispy duck and pancakes, mine will be lettuce wraps, from Marks.  I don’t normally cook on a Friday but we’re out for a friend’s birthday tomorrow night at a very nice restaurant.

When leg of lamb was half price at Easter I bought one and cut it into three small roasting joints, freezing two.
This week I did a lamb pot roast for Sunday, and we have had lamb in various guises all week.
Tonight it will be Suleiman’s Pilaff, from The Pauper’s Cookbook by Jocasta Innes, with plenty of vegetables, and just a little rice.
We have some cherries from the tree overhanging the garden for pudding, with the owners’ permission.
