I'm going to do jersey potatoes courtesy of aldi, with salad and quiche. With leftover gammon from yesterday.

I understand where you are coming from @Islandmaid I need to give my head a wobble. I buy things, meal plan, go off plan, buy more stuff (jerseys being an example) cram stuff into the freezers, make things with fresh stuff, because I hate waste, cram it into the freezer and repeat.

Last portion of the lentils with pomegranate molasses tonight with the penultimate portion of the coleslaw, gherkins, tomato, walnuts and cucumber on the side. For afters I had a couple of digestives with cottage cheese and gherkins.
Tomorrow I'm planning to repeat the coleslaw because it has been so refreshing in this hot and humid weather and make some sweetcorn and tofu fritters as well as some roasted cauliflower to go with them.

We have an Aldi crispy duck wrap kit to use and I thought I’d make a chicken chow mien to go with it, if I hunt in the freezer I might find 2 spring rolls and I have the last of the satay sauce from the weekend - fakeaway feast!

M7S chicken kivs with mash.  The chicken was part of their dinner for £12 but the other bits got eaten with last night's steak.  There's prawn cocktails we might munch as starters that were included.  A bit of silly retro treat.

BBQ chicken thighs with salad and jersey potatoes for him.

the Aldi crispy duck last night was really good and massive btw.

side note: did a Tesco ‘shop’ online yesterday, based on what I wanted for over the BH and with GS, Noah coming to stay - total got to £145…. I cleared my basket, will take out £145 cash and see how much I actually spend for that period doing small shops.  They say food prices are coming down, I’ve yet to see that evidenced in shops 🤷‍♀️

Aldi Nordpak butter has come down 10p a pack to £2.09, so maybe things are moving in the right direction. Mind you, I nearly had a heart attack when I had to buy some more olive oil this week - what's happened to THAT???

I've used the last of Sunday's roast chicken meat to make a chicken, mushroom and chickpea curry for tonight. We've both gone off rice a bit for some reason, so might just share a naan bread to go with it.
