Nepalese food is lovely @Brie there are several Nepalese restaurants and grocery stores here.
Just scoffed Young's kipper (herring) fillets with butter. Herrings are a Mediterranean fish. Cheap supper as they are 1.60 a box at Iceland. Had them with Picard Provençal veg from Ocado.1 -

Grumpy Husband didn't have any ideas for supper and left it up to me. I dispatched him to Sainsbury's for a jar of Mutti tomato & Parmigiano Reggiano DOP sauce (on offer until Tuesday) and some Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Free From Casarecce. He added some Extra Virgin olive oil.after he drained the pasta, then the sauce and grated Parmigiano Reggiano DOP over-the-top and added basil leaves. Didn't appear to have any effect on my blood sugar. Quick and cost £4 for the two of us with enough casarecce to cook for another meal. The sauce is lovely, really fresh and tomatoey and not horribly sweet.3

Meat-free Monday here for us. I'm doing some roasted celeriac steaks marinated in Gochujang paste for me, but Grumpy Husband "doesn't fancy those" so I'll make a refried bean/chilli/cheese tostada for him. He's starting to get irrationally ultra-fussy about food, whereas I am very happy to incorporate whatever veg etc I get (free or cheap) from the local Community Fridge into our meals, which naturally means more interesting veggie dishes and less meat. It's frustrating. I think I am going to have to have a Stern Word with him!4

@C_J my French uncle spent so long working in London that he picked up the habit of eating steak pie, chips and petits pois and chips and peas are literally the only veg he will eat, back in France 😯
I have been slogging over a hot laptop all day, getting my new website ready for launch over Easter. Want something simple. Husband is picking up Bird's Eye 2 gluten free breaded fish fillets from Sainsbury's, which we will have with organic petits pois and sweet potato chips from Iceland.
