    Good evening

does anyone have a recipe for homemade bread please (I’ve no bread maker). Thank you :)
Nancy birtwistle does a really good one. It's very simple.

On her Instagram page, Nancy uses the water she has used to boil her potatoes in. It really does make a difference to the rise and taste and how mse is that?

They may be expensive @Islandmaid, but I bet they taste bloomin' gorgeous!

Tonight we are having Something Made From The Leftover Roast Chicken - various meals are prepped and in the fridge, but I can't decide at the moment which it will be: Roast chicken and vegetable pie, Mexican roast chicken and black bean fajita-thingies, or Coronation chicken salad. I might give Mister CJ a treat and let him choose. :D

@MrsStepford we use skin on chicken thighs to make a sort of Mowgli style Angry bird chicken served with coleslaw, OH will have a jacket spud if he fancies it.

these quantities are for a whole chicken, but scale down to suit, it supposed to marinated over night, but tastes fine without ☺️ cook for 20/30 minutes depending of the size of your thighs 🤣

    300g plain yoghurt

    ½ tsp ground turmeric

    ½ tsp chilli powder

    2 tsp ground coriander

    1 ½ tsp ground cumin

    1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

    ½ tsp ground cloves

    3 garlic cloves, minced

7.5cm piece of fresh root ginger, peeled and grated

    Juice of ½ lemon

    1 ½ tsp salt
