We had a roast beef dinner followed by my lemon sponge pudding with custard at the SA yesterday.
Today I am doing jacket potatoes + sausage roll & mushy peas.
Baking a fruit loaf and 2 marble loaf cakes while the oven is on.

My 2 marble loaf cakes were a failure - I tried to use plain flour with baking powder as I had more of that than self raising flour. I decided to freeze the cakes to have as puds with custard so needed to tidy out my small chest freezer. I asked Mr F to lean in and empty it while I did a stock check - it is now tidy with space to freeze the cakes.
I found enough in that freezer for 49 meals!

    Hi all,

Back after our trip, had Chicken casserole last night, from freezer stash, an easy heat up meal.  Tonight I’ll make cottage pie with swede mash as lower carbs.

Now to go back and see what you’ve all been making. I need inspiration 😊

OH's birthday month has started so he's chosen a chinese feast tonight - there's all sorts including peking duck, korean wings, tempura prawns.  I tried to get some sake to do with but no one seems to be selling it.

Last night we all had a vegetarian quorn cottage pie, popped a tin of legumes in with it and a load of veg, topped with cheesy mash. Lashings of brown sauce. With purple sprouting broccoli.

Tonight it's a quick pizza that's been in the fridge for a while. Husband is having, ham, egg, chips and beans. And he is cooking.🥳
