Long drive home from a weekend away for the conference. OH was very organised and had picked up a couple of steaks from our meat guy at the market. And not organised as we had to stop and get some chips to go with them before getting home. But that's ok as we needed milk, bread and cider too. Especially cider for me after driving 4 out of 5 hours.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. You know that line about great minds think alike......
Well every day that I'm at work (2 hours 4 days a week) I send the OH a message to ask if he needs me to do any shopping on the way home. And he rarely responds. And sometimes claims he receives them 3 days later. (which does happen but no reason why....). And this has been going on for over a year now.
So today I send a "anyshopping?" to him and get nothing back. I drive almost all the way home and then veer off to Taxco as I know he'll want some things and decide to pick up some chicken thighs, lasagne, salad, bake at home baguettes....
And as I'm driving home I spot him in his monster car heading for the shop. So get home, and ring his mobile to say "just spotted you and I bought some lasagne, chicken etc etc. Ringing goes right to his phone without delay of course unlike texting but is dependent on him having his phone with him. Which he does but it's not charged so not working...... So he also bought lasagne and bake at home garlic baguettes and various other things that won't fit in the fridge as I'd already filled it up.
Sigh.
So lasagne and some sort of baguettes tonight.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. An uninspired (but tasty) veggie curry from the freezer.2

We had potato sliced and layered with onion and vegetable stock. It has got a name but I cant spell it. (Boulangerie?) I had vege sausage, husband had beef casserole from freezer, daughter had chicken breast. With carrots and broccoli. Whilst the oven was on I made a chicken and mushroom pie filling.
We halved a pack of starburst afterwards.2
