The venison last night was lovely and there's enough left for tonight. Also some of the hunter's sauce. I bought new potatoes yesterday so likely will have those as well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I made this recipe Meera Sodha's leek, pea and mint samosas and had fun and games trying to work out exactly what she does with the filo in the video. I got there or somewhere nearabouts in the end but I'm never going to be employed as a gift wrapper as you can see.
They do taste delicious and I got 19 with some filling mixture left over so that's lunches and dinners for a while. I ate them with the last of the tofu fried, the rest of the leftover filling, hardboiled eggs and the last two besan fritters.5 -
@goldfinches another fab bake, I’ve made spinach and feta before, wouldn’t have thought of leek, pea and mint, sounds delicious 😋
tonight is Pork loin pan fried in butter and garlic with grain mustard sauce and stirfry broccoli and garlic on the side, might so some baby potatoes for him and make the rest into potato salad for another meal accompaniment.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

fish, chips and mushies. I might sneak a bit of salad on to my plate too.
also stopped at Taxco to get some fizzy water - you can tell it's warm out as they had a whole freezer section with bags of ice and people were wheeling away multiple packs of 2l bottles of water.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I had a couple of the leek, pea and mint samosas with a cobbled together selection of salads from the fridge and am now enjoying a decaf coffee."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Use up day, will make coleslaw from a bit of red cabbage and red onion, with olive oil and pomegranate molasses rather than mayo. Lemon chicken breasts and some corn on cob and potato salad for himself
loving this surprise summer weather - have this week off work so am making the most of it before I put away the summer clothes
Edit: ended up making frittata as there were peppers, ham and spring onions needed using - was delicious and enough for lunches tomorrow, still made the coleslaw, again with LO’s, so easy dinner tomorrow night 🙌Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
