@C_J - do find some time to put your feet up, it will do you the world of good in the long run.
Last night we ended up making pizza - one pepperoni, one with mushrooms/pepper/red onion/tomato, and one with caramelised onions, new potatoes and blue cheese. Yum.
Tonight we are having chicken fajitas with spicy rice and avocado salad.Books read 2023 - 49/754 -
I made salad for lunch. Two tins of mixed vegs , one tin of sweetcorn, two boiled eggs and one leftover gammon slice, all cut in small cubes. Two large spoons of mayo , some seasoning, mixed well together. There with slice of bread.
Rice pudding for dinner, slow cooked in the oven. I'll put it on now, will be ready on tea time, no fuss.

We are on holiday, left this morning and I packed the cool bag with some bits from the fridge and freezer and we had carrot and swede mash from freezer and made a great ice block, purple sprouting broccoli, brussel sprouts, new potatoes, beef, and vege sausages. Dont intend to cook every day, it's just easier on the first night.
Looking forward to looking round the island, its been 8 years since we were last here. Any coffee recommendations @Islandmaid?4 -
Went out for the football yesterday lunchtime, then ended up at the local pub for the annual fete and cider / ale festival where a cheeseburger helped soak up booze partaken in.
Finally, a few of us ended up going for an Indian, diff place to the other week and deff nicer. Then home at a reasonable hour 🙂
Today was lentil cottage pie from the posh freezer shop (bought as a stock up of easy meals when we had guests) and beans....not from the posh freezer shop. OH was really impressed with the cottage pie.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

@JIL There are some incredible independent cafes etc about, The garlic farm is always a good place to visit, delicious cafe, especially fond of their breakfasts and many many lovely things to buy. Pickle and Dill in Ryde High street is an amazing deli/cafe, Chessell Pottery does a cracking cream tea, The Hut at Colwell Bay is lovely but unfortunately a product of its own success and is quite pricey now, great for a drink with a view though, ditto down the road at the Waterfront at Totland bay. many choices elsewhere. Let me if you want more recommendationsNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
