Have got some roast chicken pickings left from yesterday, and I slow cooked the carcass overnight for stock - will make a chicken and veg pie and have the leftover sliced potatoes alongside.

Tonight was Spanish chicken (cooked yesterday) with rice.
I've annoyed myself by absentmindedly heating up all the Spanish chicken, instead of putting 2 portions in the freezer. Now it has been both cooked and reheated, I can't freeze what is left!
Also made a tray of brownies.4 -
We had chopped salad, new potatoes and a load of bits from the fridge that needed using up, such as cheese, leftover spanish omelette, leftover pork from yesterday dinner, spicy chicken wings that daughter had bought.
It was good to get rid of lots of containers out of the fridge.4 -
We had a £5 M&S from the service station To Good To Go late on Saturday so yesterday dinner was a tasty ham, mascarpone and garlic mushroom pizza.
Tonight we had (yellow-stickered) rolled breast of lamb from the freezer. I cooked it as a pot roast over onion, leek, carrot, parsnip, potato and barley, so that will be our stew with some lamb, for a couple of days, served with greens.
I served some of the lamb with potato, and steamed carrot, parsnip, courgette, broccoli, and savoy cabbage, with some gravy.
There will be lamb for sandwiches, and the last bit will go in a meal of assorted vegetables, in homemade tomato sauce.
I made a large apple crumble with some of our remaining stored apples, served with cream, with leftovers for 2 days.
While the oven was on I made a malt loaf and some thin, not too sweet, flapjacks for the week.

Hi all,
We came home Sunday night, had a great time, and so did Frank 🤣
@JIL there are loads of dog friendly things to do on the island, most pubs and many cafes and restaurants are happy to have dogs. Although some beaches are restricted in high season, you also have the downs, cliff walks, forests etc as well as walks along the seafronts. Feel free to ask for specifics closer to the time 😊
Its actually OH’s birthday day today, so we’re taking Frank to https://www.thecoastbar.co.uk/ obviously dog friendly, and they do a fantastic whitebait and a rather good bottle of Picpoule 🥂
normal dining service will resume after Hubby’s birthday week has finished 🫣🙄🤣Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
