I'm making macaroni cheese, with an assortment of veg (leeks and garlic sauteed in butter, steamed cauliflower, celeriac and spinach) blended into the cheese sauce. It's a version of something similar I saw on one of Jamie Oliver's programmes recently which I thought looked quite tasty.
I'm making a trifle for puds over the next few days with a sponge base drizzled with Cointreau, a drained tin of mandarins and some orange jelly. I must crack on and make the custard (WFH with Teams on mute and camera turned off!!) or it won't be set in time.
Thai green curry made with chickpeas and whatever veg I can find in the fridge/freezer (most likely green & edamame beans, carrot and broccoli) with rice, and naan for the rice dodger.
OH went to the market this morning to get the duck eggs etc and, having parked at the nearby Sainsbugs, came home with 2 packs of their fich and ships. I've coleslaw in the fridge to go with mine.
He also bought some pork belly to add to the foreign muck we bought on holiday to make a nice casselot. And chicken and mushrooms for a coq au vin. So he's still in the Euro zone which is fine by me.

When you say blended - do you mean totally hidden? Trying to find ways to hide veg for OH
Yes, the veg are totally blended into the cheese sauce with a stick blender! It was a giveaway that there was veg in the sauce because the cooked leeks and spinach made it a pretty shade of light green, and you could not mistake the taste of cauliflower in it …. but it was really delicious.
Bit of a use up day, Thai pork stir fry things for DS and DIL, DH and I will have fridge meze, LO bits and pieces.
I’m taking his nibs away for the weekend tomorrow, it’s his birthday Tuesday, just a night on the other side of the island, just nice to get away.
Frank will be having his first sleepover with our daughter 🫣 I’m sure it’ll be fine, but I want to bring him too 🙁 OH says he needs to learn to be away from us sometimes, which I guess is true.
@Islandmaid I think your OH is right in this case. The last thing you want is a dog that has separation anxiety for the rest of his life and if you get him into good habits now, soon you'll have the choice about whether to take him or not knowing either way he'll be happy.
