Last night’s intended pizza got pushed to tonight as DH and I ended up going out for an impromptu drink/dinner, and very nice it was! The kids had fish finger wraps and veg sticks and then tonight we had the pizza, garlic bread and a big salad.Books read 2023 - 49/753

A very rare roast dinner for us - chicken stuffed with lemon and garlic roasted on top of thinly sliced potatoes, stuffing, yorkies, broccoli, carrots and roasted asparagus 😋Books read 2023 - 49/754

Pork here, with stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, vege sausages for me, roast potatoes, and veg.
Plated up a dinner each for the inlaws.4 -
as expected there's quite a nice supply of coq au vin left from last night. OH was talking about adding another chicken breast but I've suggested he just use some of the mushrooms we have as that would suit me just fine. There's half a baguette left (hadn't expected him to have any last night) and I'd like to have a jacket potato with my portion.

I’m about to roast a couple of stonking great pork chops (from the mega pack of meat I get from a local butcher each month, it’s such a good deal) in the Ninja along with some roast potatoes. To be served with cabbage, carrots, apple sauce and gravy. No dinner tomorrow night as Mister CJ has the indignity of a colonoscopy on Tuesday, so I will fast alongside him out of solidarity 🤣4

OH has asked for soup and cheese on toast for dinner. I countered with omeletes. He disagrees as he had smoked haddock with poached eggs for breakfast and doesn't want to double egg today. I think we shall be dining separately.
