OH had a piece and chips.I had some pasta, added sliced mushrooms and artichoke hearts from a deli jar - fried and finished off in balsamic. End of a jar of creamy tomato sauce and then added a bit of extra cream that was open. Topped with parmesan and a quick twist of black pepper.
Not bad for a made up on the fly, use stuff up kinda meal.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'm making macaroni cheese, with an assortment of veg (leeks and garlic sauteed in butter, steamed cauliflower, celeriac and spinach) blended into the cheese sauce. It's a version of something similar I saw on one of Jamie Oliver's programmes recently which I thought looked quite tasty.
I'm making a trifle for puds over the next few days with a sponge base drizzled with Cointreau, a drained tin of mandarins and some orange jelly. I must crack on and make the custard (WFH with Teams on mute and camera turned off!!) or it won't be set in time.3 -

OH went to the market this morning to get the duck eggs etc and, having parked at the nearby Sainsbugs, came home with 2 packs of their fich and ships. I've coleslaw in the fridge to go with mine.
He also bought some pork belly to add to the foreign muck we bought on holiday to make a nice casselot. And chicken and mushrooms for a coq au vin. So he's still in the Euro zone which is fine by me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
