Curry last night, just a jar one. Balti sauce with onion, pepper and quorn chunks. Chucked in some LO tinned toms too.
Had that with rice and shared a naan bread.

Tonight may be sweet n sour...again, jar. As there is LO rice and I have a few peppers in the fridge. Will see what i can add to the sauce in addition to that.

Aldi battered cod and a few home made chips for us tonight. I’m planning a lazy day 😀
  • I’m out for a curry with the girls, so DH and kids will be sharing the one lone pizza from the freezer with potato wedges and salad.

Just don't overcook it.  We do lamb hearts regularly but have done venison & beef as well.  Lamb ones are great on the bbq on skewers - just trim the fat, cut in half, and alternate with kidneys.  A bit of olive oil and mixed herbs and pop them on for a few minutes.  Could grill them just as easily of course.  Normally we serve them with rice.  Larger hearts work nicely with stuffing - my choice would be a mix of cubed stale bread mixed with fried onion (but that's cause I wasn't raised with the UK sausage stuffing).

OH suggested soup, bread and cheese tonight.  And then after I'd bought some bits for it suggested he make carbonara.  And then asked if we had any prawns.....so it's soup and prawn and boiled egg baguettes!  I might just put my prawn and eggs on the rest of the rocket to make a salad and save a bit of the baguette to have with some melty camembert.

  • Hi all, new to this thread although lurked for ages and love a 'what's for dinner' chat!
OH just got back from shopping - we had a miscommunication and I thought we were having home made fish and chips for dinner but he thought I was having chicken (which I actually asked for for the week).
So he has tuna and I am doing a chicken, pepper and feta traybake (he doesnt eat chicken) and I will then have leftovers for a couple of meals.
