@Brie Mister CJ isn’t convinced anyone here is real either 🤣🤣

@kerri_gt Sorry to hear about the fridge freezer going on the blink, but at least you didn’t lose much. It’s probably the worst appliance to have troubles with!

Tonight I used up the last of the roast turkey thigh, chopping it up with onion, garlic, green pepper, mushrooms, fresh parsley, a handful of frozen peas, a teaspoon of cayenne and a slosh of cream. Served it with a little spoonful of creamy mash, and it was really tasty.

    *dramatic slump on the sofa*

    Rant alert 🚨

just back from Aldi, with a 3yo in tow - obviously chose the exact same time as everyone else in the vicinity to shop.

Can I ask, why do couples of a certain age shop together, but the male partner if just there to stand in the middle of an extremely busy aisle, with the trolley, normally sideways, ignoring the build up of traffic he has caused, whilst the OH is head first in one of the fridges trying to find the longest dated piece of cheese…..  my polite and increasingly desperate plea of ‘excuse me’ being out of range of hearing, or being ignored, ladies PLEASE leave hubby in the car…. RANT over 🤗

spaghetti carbonara for dinner, cheese and pickles for me 🤌

@Brie if I let Mr IM go grocery shopping unaccompanied, he would come back having spent the equivalent of the country’s national debt on useless rubbish from the middle aisles, the entire stores chocolate biscuits and 3 bags of crisps for the week

@C_J are our husbands related? 🤣

It certainly sounds like it!  I had to send him shopping on his own once when I had twisted my ankle and couldn't drive, and he returned (with all the chocolate, biscuits and crisps in the world) announcing that they "don't sell cat food in Aldi" while proudly brandishing an 42 piece socket set. It's a good job I love him.

No cooking for me - had dinner at SA - a roast - turkey crowns needed to be used to make space in the freezer - followed by Christmas pudding & custard or trifle.
