Re our friend - still hard to believe that he is gone - he was always cheerful and great fun to be with - will be sadly missed by so many people. There were a lot of people at the funeral.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Good morning all
i was in bed really early last night I was so tired
i did some southern fried chicken drumsticks I got for £2 reduced in Lidl. Then homemade chips and sweet corn. I also had some southern fried mayonnaise I got half price in Tesco. My daughter had ketchup. She ate really well last night.Tonight something easy. I’ve got the hairdressers so by the time we get home it’s almost 6pm. I’ve taken out the last tub of lamb from New Year’s Day. I got a jar of curry sauce, think it’s a balti plus naan and rice. I’ve got peppers and onions to add into the sauce.:money::rotfl::T3 -
We went to a friend's house for dinner last night, lovely not to cook. It was home made vegetable curry.
Tonight I have guests so I'm doing a buffet. I have been on Instagram to polish up my presentation skills.4 -
Out for a friend’s birthday tonight, not a restaurant I would have chosen, very carb heavy menu, with little flexibility, but not my birthday - they do a steak though, with macaroni cheese 🫣 but will ask for just steak and salad. First world problems, I’m sure I’ll cope 🤣🤣Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

@Florenceem
Glad there was a good turn out. But also hope that people had expressed their love for him before now as well. Work is promoting a "Random Acts of Kindness" season so we were talking about that in a team meeting on Thursday and discussed what little things we might do to make someone smile. And thinking about it has made me realise how short I was with a friend yesterday so I'm going to send him a message to apologise. Being nice to friends, colleagues and strangers is very important.

I'm glad you asked before I had to!! I'm thinking there might be a bit of cajun spice in there somewhere....
Tonight I'll be mostly having a nice bit of lamb rump. I'd bbq it if I thought I could get the weber to work - it was being fractious a few months back and hasn't been used for much longer than I'm accustomed to. I might end up grilling it or doing it in the griddle pan. I've courgette, peppers, mushrooms and potatoes I'll likely roast to go with it. That will mean prepping everything - of which I have tons - and putting a lot of it in the freezer ready for future meals.

It’s elder daughter’s birthday (how did I manage to have a grown up daughter when I’m sure I’m still only 21 myself?!😂😂 ) so we are taking her and her husband out for dinner tonight. Lovely riverside restaurant, looking forward to it.3
