Full oven today - made a large pizza and a greengage jam sponge pudding + a fruit loaf cake. Fruit loaf is a recipe from a lady on a frugal fb site - first time I have baked it - very yummy.

HM lasagne heated from the freezer in the air fryer, and petit pois. Also found another half bag of peas in the freezer when i was digging out some bits for a chilli - poor inventory mgmt on my part.
I also realised if Christmas were tomorrow (after a dream i had) i have sprouts, pigs in blankets and parsnips all in the freezer and spuds in the fridge so could totally cobble something together.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Got MiL (91) round for lunch doing scampi and chips, her favourite. Also making rice pudding with evaporated milk and poached rhubarb from the garden. That should fill her up 😋
I’ll have some locally reared Gloucester Old Spot sausages and salad.
we’re not used to eating so heavily at lunchtime, so just cheese and biscuits for supper 👍Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

We had a lovely takeaway curry last night, by request of one son-in-law whose birthday treat it was. We ordered from a city centre restaurant whose food we’ve always wanted to try, and we weren’t disappointed.
Tonight it’s a veg meal - I’m making fritters from a mix of grated courgette, mashed butter beans, finely diced spring onion and red chilli, a little crumbled feta cheese, oregano, garlic, cayenne and black pepper with gram flour and egg to bind and fried in tablespoon-sized blobs. Will serve with salad and homemade slaw. Pudding will be apple strudel and cream. Almost all of the ingredients were free, either from the garden or the Community Fridge.3 -
We are having chicken/stuffing - FF + roast potatoes + roasted veggies - tomatoes/onion/garlic + gravy. I will make a tray bake to fill my oven.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

We had a chinese meal delivered last night and the OH has been suffering ever since. This may be the leverage to switch to another establishment in the future. Both of us were up multiple times due to extreme thirst which happens every time we've had stuff from there. I am guessing it's excessive MSG.
So not sure what's on the menu tonight. OH was going to do wood pigeons but I've vetoed that and proposed schnitzel instead. His counter, counter proposal is soup. I may have the left over chinese instead.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I had salad that I jazzed up with roasted pepper from a jar and capers, beetroot and lentil ragu and a roasted sweet potato followed by a passionfruit, stilton and coffee.3

We ate out at lunchtime in a pub overlooking the sea. It was lovely, we shared a sandwich of local cheese, pickled walnuts and chutney and it was very nice.
We then had fish and chips for tea.
Home tomorrow:(3 -
@Brie i might skip the LO chinese if it made you that thirsty. I know it's not very MSE but doesn't sound much fun. I remember being like that after gammon, eggs and chips at a local pub, spent the rest of the evening drinking gallons of lemonade and lime because it was the one thing i fancied to try and quench my thirst.
Yesterday was cheese and broccoli pasta with some courgette added before going out. Then scampi and chips whilst out at a friend's birthday.
I have promised OH I'll make chilli this weekend though prob won't eat it tonight as it's always better left for a day.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
