Picked up another pack of fake KFC yesterday (Lidl not Aldi) so had two bits with some Jersey royals i found in the fridge and some courgette.
Pudding was warmed tinned peaches and custard
Seem to have a lot of random and slightly sprouty spuds in the fridge so may turn any sprouters into mash later.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Confit mushrooms done in the oven eaten with cous cous and ginger cabbage followed by stewed apple with a dollop of plain yoghurt and a coffee.
While the oven was on I cleared out the veg drawer of the fridge and put everything I possibly could into a tray to roast to use for tomorrow's lunch and dinner.2 -

Roast chicken dinner for us tonight too. Several meals this week will therefore feature leftover chicken (I’m hoping to stretch it to two fajitas, a two-portion chicken and sweetcorn pie, a chicken noodle stir fry, and a coronation chicken topping for jacket potatoes).
I’m also going to make an apple strudel for this week’s puds. The cooking apples, sultanas and filo pastry were all free from the community fridge.4 -

We ended up with the ribs last night served with mexican rice. very tasty indeed! but it helps having decent ribs from happy pigs!! (well not happy now of course but they lived a carefree life roaming an estate in the New Forest)
OH has proposed a repeat tonight of the continental breakfast we had today. I said yes but I've now got the extra dry mouth that follows too much salty meat. Ham, prosciutto etc. Even the butter was extra salty it seemed. So I'm going to ensure my dinner is mostly soup & salad unless I can convince that we have something completely different.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
