  • @Islandmaid Fridge Tapas, I love it, I'm stealing that!

DH got invited out to (paid for!) dinner with work people, so I made a very quick pasta dish for me and the kiddos; no-chicken chunks and frozen veg mix with half a tub of cheese spread and a grated forgotten piece of parmesan, loads of pepper, it was lovely!
    Progress over perfection
  • I had a flung together salad with some leftover dhal and half and avocado followed by a coffee.

Yesterday went a bit awry, so we ended up with a takeaway, so the curry will be for tonight

I’m going to stick a gammon in the slow cooker for a few meals, gammon, egg and chips (I have celeriac), gammon, mash and parsley sauce, fried rice then will use the stock for soup, thinking pea and ham

A simple spaghetti bolognese for us tonight, but exactly what's needed now the weather has turned cooler.

I've just ordered 2,000 litres of heating oil, and can be found weeping quietly in the corner.

My oven is going on today so I will precook potatoes in mw then finish off to use up space on shelves and I like a crispy skin on my jacket spuds. I will make a sponge pudding and do some roasted veggies to use up fridge bits and onion and garlic. I see garlic is on super 6 today so will get some during the fortnight's promotion.

Tonight I am making salmon fishcakes, spiced with some red chilli and lemongrass. Served with a side salad.  Baked apples (stuffed with sultanas and marzipan) with custard for pud.
