Borrowed £20 out of OH's wallet on Wednesday as there was a desk I wanted to buy on Gumtree which was £40 and I was a bit short. Today I sold one of MiL's rollators also on Gumtree and gave the £25 to OH and said - here's the money to buy fish and chips tonight. It'll only cost him less than half that so he can't feel too agrieved.

Husband fetched us a chippy tea tonight. I had children's fishcake, chips and peas. I'm not sure what the others had. They sat at the table and I slobbed out on the sofa to eat.3

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"3 -

Oh that looks delicious!Mister CJ is on a Boy’s Day Out at the RAF Fairford air show today and I have no idea what time he’ll be back and whether or not he will be hungry. I’m planning a simple salad for me, and there are a couple of leftover stuffed red peppers which I can bung in the microwave for him if needed.3

@Islandmaid
I keep waiting for my dinner invite!!!
It was all decided that we were going to have tuna steaks and cous cous but I've just been issued orders to pick up a leg of lamb that I need to make into souvlaki to be served with pita, a feta/greek salad and taramasalata.
I'll be getting both and we'll be eating outside either way.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
