What are you making for dinner?

Still in negotiations for dinner tonight.
We have a packed of cooked spicy wings in the fridge from Aldi that need to be used or frozen. We also have chorizo sausages which could go on the bbq. Lots of salad stuff including some tomatoes and mozzarella and avocado (assuming they are ripe - were YS yesterday but solid) Need to buy some basil as the pot on the window sill is looking rather lame - a pot normally lasts us a month despite normally having a BBD of 3 - 5 days. So might buy another pack of cooked chicken for an easy and relatively cool life.
Of course it may rain and cool everything down which would be lovely. And wouldn't stop me from BBQing if it was required.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I keep thinking this heat makes it the perfect time to remove the freezer stuff in the kitchen to the freezer in the garage and allow me to defrost. And clear out the too long frozen stuff at the same time. But that would involve a run to the dump as I wouldn't really want any chucked food to be a bin for the next 10 days.....
Meanwhile - market day and our meat guy had venison burgers. I'll check if the rolls we have are still ok otherwise will get a couple more for the OH and I'll have my burgers with salad only. And cider.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)4 -
I have rewritten the menu plan for the next few days in order to use up the lovely freebies I picked up from the Community Fridge yesterday. So tonight I am making roasted red peppers stuffed with black beans, shallot, garlic, tomatoes, rice, Mexican spices and grated cheese. All from the Fridge bar the cheese.
Desserts for the next few days will be apple strudel (cooking apples and filo pastry also from the Fridge).

Got the family over tonight, been busy making focaccia and Basque cheesecake for them.
Got a load of large crevette, crab, sea bass fillets (caught by a friend), making Hollandaise, and Aoli later some sirloin steaks for the seafood avoiders, vegan son can’t make it, so at least we can chuck it all on the BBQ together.
salads, guacamole etc to go with it 👍Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
