Cooking class earlier this evening where we made sweet potato and black bean tacos with apricot salsa, guacamole and toasted pumpkin seeds followed by lime and coconut muffins that one of the other students brought from home.

Here is our tutor explaining the importance of tasting as you go and suiting the dish to your own individual palate. It was a very interesting session with us working individually side by side so that we could compare our results with one another. Even though we're copying a method we've just seen demonstrated we still get widely differing results which is fascinating.

what inspired you to take a cooking class?  I've wondered about doing one but suspect I would harrumph at some things as being too fussy or something.

Not surprised though about the different people getting different results.  It's the same with art class - even if we are working from an identical template we all mix  our colours a bit differently and apply them in our own unique way.

Tonight's pizza + baked up two packet mixes that were given to me. Will take the Brownies and Victoria Sandwich to the SA sale tomorrow. My Dgd works at a farm shop and bought me 18 free range eggs today - tomorrow's date on them so they won't sell them.
