I did a quick dinner last night and filled the oven - made a cheese scone round for lunch today.

That looks amazing, do you have the recipe please?

One of our local delis did a cheese scone, cut in half and topped with what looked like cheese and onion sandwich filler, but it was absolutely delicious. I've tried to recreate it with, grated cheese, spring onions, chives mixed with mayo but nothing comes close.
That looks lovely @Florenceem. It reminded me.

Tonight I had a pizza and salad. Others had a curry.
I haven't meal planned this week in an effort to use up some stuff.

Finishing up the last of the chicken and vegetable pie tonight, which is a bit boring but it's good to have something ready made as I'm working in the office today and will be too knackered to cook from scratch when I get home. How on earth did I manage before WFH was a thing? :)

I know what you mean!  In some ways it's been a real blessing the last couple of years as I would have had to make different less flexible arrangements in order to manage things.

Hope the commute wasn't/isn't too bad given the whole train/underground mess.

2 and a half cups of SR flour
3 tbsp soft marge - I use Aldi Best for Baking tub
    1 cup of milk
    1 egg
half a cup of grated cheese
    Sprinkle of mixed herbs
mix all together with a knife - bake for 15 - 20 minutes  at 200 fan oven - I brush top with milk and sprinkle garlic powder on top before baking. Mark into required number of portions before baking.  I do 8.
Thank you - will deff give this a whirl - I have all the bits in. Do you think I could use some sour cream in it too? I have some lingering in the fridge that really needs using - thinking it would go quite well being savoury?

@C_J I've wfh for a number of years now way BC (Before Covid  ;) ) Sometimes I wonder how I managed to get everything done in the house when in an office - just being able to put a wash on and out to dry is helpful. Although I did smile wryly over the past few years when many people who seemed to think wfh was a quick email then sitting watching Homes Under the Hammer for the morning had a big reality check on that.

Put sour cream in your measuring cup and top up with milk.  Easy!

HAH! - when a old manager used to say she was WFH she inevitably came in to work the next day having obviously had a new hair style and freshly gelled nails etc.
