@Islandmaid hope it's just a minor lurgy and nothing lasting! Don't want you to go off your food for too long!!!
Fish & chips for all tonight. I might add a couple of little tomatoes to my plate beside the mushy peas.
No Friday night wine available here so I'm stoically having a small(ish) brandy and soda instead.

No cooking for me - been out from 11.30 to after 6pm helping with catering at a funeral. Had bits to eat and brought stuff home to nibble on - think I am too tired to eat much.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Florenceem - you've had a really tiring week, I'm impressed you're still standing let alone managing to cook.
Another portion of cannelloni here with petits pois, green beans and sweetcorn all from the freezer followed by medjool dates and coffees.

Had family over this afternoon, so I made chicken fajitas with corn tortillas, and a pulled pork and black bean chilli with rice, guac, salad and grated cheese. Chocolate cake and ice cream for pudding. Hoped for lots of leftovers but barely a small Tupperware left!Books read 2023 - 49/753

We have been to a quiz at the SA - ate there - lots of food left from the over catering yesterday. Lots of cakes there for tomorrow after the service as well.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Yesterday made burgers and had with proper deep fried (in beef dripping) chips.
Today was another Instant Pot first, macaroni cheese. Was skeptical of the method, especially as I was using GF macaroni, but it was gorgeous. So easy too. I'm loving my new toy! DH wasn't convinced, especially given how big it is, but is coming around. I'm hoping it will help us use less energy for cooking. We already have an air fryer, which the teens especially enjoy using.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
