OH had quorn cottage pie. I had a portion of the neverending oxtail casserole when I got back from yoga with the bag of bottomless kale I was intending to use up. Ended up with another portion of casserole still so bunged that in the feeezer (I think that was portion #6 out of the pot overall) and still kale left in the bag too.

Inspired by Mr T's 3 for £1.00 veg offer, I've got a pork joint out of the freezer and will do a dinner which will include stuffing, roast potatoes, white cabbage, carrots and a couple of other veg (or I have sprouts and cauliflower in the freezer).
I'll probably pick up extra carrots & parsnip to boil, mash and freeze.

    This ^^^° take 2.
I always think a roast dinner is better the second time around because it's all done. :)
  • We treated ourselves to an M&S 2 can dine for £10 meal deal- chicken and ham lattice with potato rostis, and some red wine for me. (millionaire shortbread puds tomorrow!)
  • Lunch today will be hm carrot, lentil and coriander soup with a bread roll. Tonight's dinner is pasta, mushrooms and hm pesto, topped with crispy bacon, served with some garlic bread.

    Corned beef hash tonight.

It's the last of the batch so will have to make some more in the next month, it's a good staple to have in the freezer for those days when plans have gone awry.

Need to try and determine what OH eating habits are going to be today. Need to do a food shop and might 'treat' us to an Asda shop for a change and get a few things I can't normally get in lidl. Wild times!
