We went out Christmas shopping on Thursday evening and stopped for dinner on the way home at a Turkish restaurant, I think Lebanese food is my very favourite.
Husband had a kebab, I had a vegetarian mix of hellum cheese, which is like halloumi but it came with falafel, but these were like patties which were covered in seeds and really crispy. I have looked a recipe up and it uses soaked but not cooked chickpeas so will have a go at making some.
Both dishes were served with rice, bulgur wheat, mixed salads, pitta bread and hummus.
Back down to earth tonight, air fry chips, mushrooms, fried eggs and bacon.1 -

OH is doing something with goat, aubergine, courgette, peppers and (I think) merguez sausages. On cous cous. Hope he doesn't serve it at 8 pm!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Fried some onion with sliced chicken and some roast veg that I froze the other day.
Cooked in puff pastry with grated cheese, like a big pasty. With peas and gravy.

Roast chicken dinner for us tonight, with roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, cabbage, carrots and gravy. Apple and blackberry crumble for pud. I anticipate falling asleep in a carb haze shortly after the Strictly final.3

We had a lovely day today, a visit to a farm shop that goes all out for Christmas, I bought two boxes of mince pies, £3 each or 2 for £5.
Then we came home and put the Christmas tree up. Finished off with a cup of tea and mince pie. Shocked that there were only three mince pies in each box, I thought they were double layered!!
We then went out for dinner, a carvery. It wasnt the best, but lovely I didn't have to cook! Husband had gammon and pork, he had absolutely loads of meat. I had nut roast with mine.2 -
