@JIL - glad to hear you're feeling better.

I'm having a treat salad (supergreen) I bought from M*rks earlier today with a baked potato followed by coffee.

And what are the workmen having????

That’s almost the truth - they didn’t leave until 6.30pm tonight, and one of them did ask “what are you cooking us for dinner?!”

Busy few days here. 6th and 8th both bank holidays. We kept our daughter off nursery on 7th so we could take her into Palma for the Christmas lights.

    Big shop due tomorrow

tonight chicken wings, homemade chips and peas

Love wings....but being from "over there" I have to have mine with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing a la Buffalo style.

Sounds like the lights would be good fun.  We don't go out to things like that generally (misanthropists avoiding the crowds...) but love to see the way people decorate their houses - there's some great displays all over.

Pasta with some butternut squash, sage and parmesan sauce (bought, wouldn't buy again) with some balsamic mushrooms and tomatoes,  plus a couple of chopped ikea veggie sausages and a warmed baguette with garlic butter.

pasta and squash sounds a bit too carb and carb for me.  rice and squash is fine - risotto especially.  what was the brand so we can avoid please?

The thought of carbs in butternut squash never even crossed my mind...that said in my book there's no such thing as too many carbs
It was a Sainsburys Taste The Diff (I think) pouch from the ambient shelf - that said it had been in our cupboard for some amount of time so maybe that didn't help either.

hotdogs.  nice ones made with veal from the Polish/Eastern Euro section at Sainsbugs.  OH has rolls and I'll pop out for some coleslaw later when I go to the chemist to pick up everyone's prescriptions. (don't like Sains' coleslaw or potato salad for some reason, nor Waithrows but MnS or Tasco are fine.)

Chicken burger from the freezer (only in there as part of a Co-Op freezer deal), sprouts (also located in freezer, from Olio originally) and mixed veg (also part of the Co-Op deal).

Just waiting to put a croissant bread and butter pudding in the oven. Croissants were free from Olio, added some chopped apples from the freezer that were free and the eggs in the custard were the last two from a box of YS ones in Sainsbury's becasue one in the box was damaged.

    Pretty MSE tonight.
