Visited Harrogate the other day with my daughter. Got a nice 'shaggy' Craghoppers jumper for £4.50 which either my partner or myself might wear. Got a tweed and furry material deerstalker type hat for a fun pressie for my partner (he is renowned for not caring what he wears). Daughter was chuffed to bits to get two fish tank ornaments for £1.50 each when they are £12-£15 in the shops. So not a big haul all but happy with what we got.

Hunstanton had quite a lot of tempting goodies when we visited this week. I came away with a pristine Gerry Weber trouser suit, expensive at £12.50 and I don’t know whether I will have an occasion to wear it bearing in mind how things are but it’s a great insurance. Today a pretty Per Una top for £1.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I'm out of touch with the charity shops in Otley as the only way I can get there under my own steam is on the bus and I'm not happy travelling on public transport these days....too many people not wearing masks round here

Did you feel that the charity shops in Harrogate were rather pricy? I've been loads of times but don't think I've ever actually bought anything.
Today's perambulations around the local chazza shops this afty found me purchasing a pair of Lands End, burgundy velvet, high rise jeans. They must be new, (no tags), as the button and zip pull have tissue paper on them and the pockets are still stitched. Oxfam price £6.99, I think they are these, (below), priced at £70 originally. They are not as tight a fit as in the pic cos they are a size up on what I usually buy.

Then in the community chazza I picked up a paper cutter thingy, (guillotine?), by Letion for 99p and it is currently selling on Amazon at £6.99. Then I found a Mason Cash & Co mixing bowl for 25p........in fact it is a miniature version of the big traditional one and I guess it is meant to be used rather like a ramekin dish. It is just sooooo cute I couldn't resist it! Last find was an elbow length sleeved T-shirt by M & S in cobalt blue on the sale rail for 75p.8 -

went to went to a nearby town today to stroll around the charity shops. I did manage to find a few nice bits, some of which were on the £1 rail but omg…… some of the prices in some shops !!!The British heart foundations prices were a bit eye watering to say the least. I know they are probably trying to make up for the time they had to close down but wow. Unfortunately I had to pass on quite a few things because I just won’t pay that sort of money. When will they learn that if they keep the prices reasonable people (myself included) will buy a lot more. I did get a nice Joules striped top for £3.49, an m & co top for £1 and a plain black top for £1, a notebook for 50p to keep in my bag for shopping lists and a Friends mug (£1) for my daughter so I did alright7

I got a brand new, purple padded coat from Mountain Warehouse for a fiver today from a Martlets shop! Perfect for this weather. This will replace my previous winter coat (also a chazzer find) which is so big I could get two people in it!5

Stocked up on £1-2 Xmas tops for me and the kids today from the hospice shop. There's always lots to choose from! Makes the kids Christmas jumper day at nursery a double charitable effort. I was pleased to find a couple of T-shirt versions for me. I get hot far too easily, even in December!Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]
