I'm not meant to be shopping but I too am fretting about another lockdown, especially as my area has gone into Tier Two today. In The Helen Rollason shop a pair of Burgundy boots with buckles, from Topshop. £3, RRP £85, apparently. And an amazing white shirt with New Romantic style cuffs by Teatum Jones. I imagine this must be a diffusion line of theirs as all their stuff looks SO expensive and like it belongs in an art exhibition. Shirt is fabulous quality and was £5.99 in Scope.  :D
Never heard of Teatum Jones before but blimey....anything between £500 - £700 for a cotton shirt!!!!!!  :s
At that price I would expect it to be hand woven by a princess from straw!! and all finely stitched by hand........Clearly I inhabit a different world!!
I do hope Magpie100 has checked the care instructions - gonna be a nightmare to wash......'Handwash only in the tears of a Vestal Virgin'!
😂😂 only just seen this! I agree - shirt only worn a few hours so far so not braved the washing machine yet. I do feel a little nervous about it!
Just curious, are the washing instructions at all different from usual type of things or not? Getting carried away by my rather overactive imagination here, but still wondering if it's a dry clean only or something similar?

  • So many bargains! Haven't been out for ages, am looking forward to visiting them again before the country is in total lockdown again.

Just had a mini break on the Isle of Wight, took a train ride to Shanklin where there are some lovely chazzers.  However my OH gets funny if I want to go in them (he wanted to find the beach, can't think why!) so I rationed myself to two.  Found a Pyrex Chelsea lidded butter dish for £1.50 - they are quite collectable now and I found one on eBay for £14 and one on Etsy for £15.  It's immaculate, not a chip or scratch on it.

The funny thing is, until I looked online I had no idea it was a butter dish.  We have three already, in different designs, and have always used them for leftover sausages, half a tin of beans etc.  Of course it makes perfect sense now I know what it is intended for, but it will remain a leftovers dish in our house!

Shanklin is a great place for chazzers and you did well.
