Yay my yay my patience has finally been rewarded.Pepe dungarees £3. The legs are a bit wider than I had envisaged but I quite fancy going for a Dexy’s circa 1982 vibe.5

I've stayed out of the shops this weekend but am going to make myself a list of needs and wants sometime tomorrow in order to give the chazza fairy a bit of a nudge.
Do you think there's any chance of finding a book that was published last month or is that really too soon?
Just greed really and impatience with the county library system but it would be nice to have a reduced price copy of Ottolenghi's Flavour, says she wistfully, must practise acceptance meanwhile.

It had to happen.....up in North Yorkshire and the only chazzers open on Sunday now seem to be the BHF shops and there displayed in the window was a recently donated coat of mine. I deliberately bring my stuff away from home ground cos I do not want to see it again!!!! Anyhoo.....did find a BNWT pair of black leather knee high boots in the Thirsk branch....bit steep at £17.99, original price £59.95, (and pressured to make an extra squid donation cos they had lost a lot of income due to lockdown, (is this a new thing everywhere?).3

Still at least your coat was window display worthy and will be used to beguile passers by into pausing and browsing, perhaps you could try donating to a particular shop and then not revisiting it for a set time to allow time for your selections to be snapped up by others.
Have you ever seen someone wearing or, even odder, reporting having bought one of your previous treasures?"She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

We cleared youngest's room (with a shovel) when he & eldest swapped rooms & lugged several bags for life filled with dinsoaurs, Star Wars toys, and other good hearty toys to chew on for another generation to enjoy.
Next week, looping round the outlying towns, spotted a Star Wars spaceship & Himself muttered "Don't you recognise the bent sensor aerial?" as I peered at it. I was gently hustled out before I could debate the matter.6 -
Nearly missed a nice useful bargain this afty. In the community shop I saw a pair of what I thought were B/N grey faux sheepskin slipper/boots. No tags but the soles were unmarked and priced at £5. I nearly put them back as I was convinced they must be fake sheepskin at that price. Then I spotted the John Lewis label buried in the wool so had a better squiz at them and realised they were genuine so I snapped them up. Will be super cosy on my wood floors this winter. Just found them on the JL website and currently selling at £65

In The Helen Rollason shop a pair of Burgundy boots with buckles, from Topshop. £3, RRP £85, apparently. And an amazing white shirt with New Romantic style cuffs by Teatum Jones. I imagine this must be a diffusion line of theirs as all their stuff looks SO expensive and like it belongs in an art exhibition. Shirt is fabulous quality and was £5.99 in Scope.4
