Joseph Turner striped shirt. £3 local children's shop. JT formal shirts £70 new.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.7 -
All the tips near me have shops attached for items that are too good to throw. A veritable treasure trove of junk and furniture. Found a fab 1.5 x 1.5m wall art canvas for £2. I didn’t know what to do with myself I was that excited. I think there were selling everything dirt cheap due to the volume of donations.5

A Landsend red fleece blazer style jacket £3.50 I have had a blue version for many years and it is very useful. The new one is a lovely shade of red. I am still trying to donate at least as much as I buy so went through stuff this week and managed both to rid myself of stuff, and rediscover things I had forgotten.4

Lucy5781 said:Been clearing items from Mother in Law's house (she unfortunately passed away in May from long standing health issues) and had debated mentioning her impressive dinner service collection here, all Port Merrion Dusk but thought no, it's not Denby.
Then discovered a tea pot and cups set up in the top cupboards that turned out to be Denby Boston Blue... I can't do anything about it, there's SO MUCH STUFF in the house, we've frantically been ensuring we take what's actually important family-wise, taking some of the bulk bought kitchen and cleaning supplies, kitchen things we'll actually use and then have to leave the rest to the professional clearance team to handle.
I wish I could offer it up to a Denby lover here. We can't process it all ourselves, it's insane how much stuff there is in that house.

Lucy, if you can find a local Denbyholic or call a charity shop & give them a clear briefing they’ll bring all the packaging needed to move kilos of the good stuff. If not, in sh’Allah & you tried. In Thornton Cleveleys today, three Denby teacups Denby Avignon & Verona (so raving popular Not Even Photographed in book, Pollycat), so delighted to get reference items! Plus two pairs of socks, total one pound. Think they were after clearing ready to be locked.Nice book on Maxwell Knight (on whom M based) & some frivolous seasonal reading also a pound from cancer research (admired Assistants’ stunning multicoloured hair - Guide leader!) British Heart had a distanced queue 8 people long, everywhere else was pretty much “come on in...!”Himself got a stunning bowler hat for Middleson (who has declined the honour, idiot, so we’ll sell it on to the steampunk collective).

Congratters on the shirt by the way, jolly good bargain.
Stuck to my resolve to avoid shops this weekend largely due to the weather which has been gloriously golden here among the dreaming spires, very chilly out of the sun but still lovely to be out in it.
Am now able to wear a pair of jeans bought before all the C*vid ghastliness from the BHF shop so intend to donate a pair of now vastly oversized ones to them tomorrow along with another few items that are also ginormous on me these days as a decluttering !!!!!! thankyou. It really has helped having nice clothes to aim to fit into and look forward to wearing and the feeling of triumph when one can wear them the first time is great.
Night all and sweet dreams, goldfinches.5 -
The Kingsman is a splendid film starring Colin Firth as a secret agent working for an independent security service, lots of action, gadgets, humour and adventure. Better than James Bond, even. It's on Netflix. One life - your life - live it!6
