I am totally useless with my hands. Have no patience because concentration is awful. Have always wanted to quilt. I know I have to learn to sew first but a year or so ago there was a magazine that came out. For beginners I believe. By the time you had collected all issues you were in by almost a thousand pounds. Gulp.............
Have had numerous fabulous buys from charity shops after almost a year. Most successful was a £3.00 top that I was convinced wouldn't suit me..............but it did !AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo
According to a lovely poster I am Bala the Brave who wrestled a Tiger. You know who you are.....

@moneyonmymindsam LOVE that BNWT jumper!
A little perambulate round the local Barnardos for me this morning. Very, very happy to find a pair of BNWT French Connection trousers which look designed for the WFH wardrobe. Cuffed legs and loose fit but lovely Luxe material. Navy with a white stripe on the inside. £6.95.
Then a GP&J jumper for H&M: https://images.app.goo.gl/BJvPZXhUTp4Xn5Vp7
I don't need it, but I wanted it! Love the navy and silver together and the cropped fit. £3.95. Apparently limited edition, but I take that with a pinch of salt!
A Per Una cream rib polo neck with gold trim - will be lovely to layer up for autumn: https://images.app.goo.gl/4f9KTBmDtaALS6Jj6
And finally a lovely soft jumper by 'Society 8' - can only find them on amazon. Manmade fibres so not amazing quslity, but looks unworn and was £3.50.
Very happy!

I live in a Northern town with a rapidly rising rate of the C-word and worry that we will be in lockdown within days, I went into my local favourite CS this morning to get what might be my final 'fix' for a while, and bought three totally new items for £5 in total. A Next high-necked stretchy top £1, four Royal Worcestershire wine glasses, boxed and unused £2 and a drawstring type backpack with pink flamingoes on, a big zip will allow it to expand, several pockets, etc. BNWT £2. There were plenty of really nice items but for now I have enough!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Today, in the Brain Tumour Shop, (BTRS), I picked up a vintage but brand new, (if the makes sense!), M & S, pale blue oversized cotton sweater for £2.95. The original price of £17.99 was still attached. When I got home I realised that I had previously owned this sweater multi-several years ago. I loved it then and I think I will love it again. Nearly made a major boo boo yesterday in the BHF shop. Spotted a lovely b/n possum and silk mix sweater in a dark turquoise colour. I bought a similar sweater in New Zealand years ago and it was so soft and warm and light....I wore it to death. This was priced at £8.99 so I left it on the rail whilst I looked around. Yep, another woman picked it up and walked about with it. I got fed up of following her about willing her to put it back so I left and called in again on my way home just in case. Yep she put it back so I picked it off the rail with great glee only to immediately spot a moth hole on the shoulder. I left it!!!8
